Brilliant new TV series on BBC 2: The Men Who Made Us Fat. As of today (17th June 2012) you can still watch Episode 1 on BBC iPlayer. For those of us who have been studying this for a while, there are our new heroes (Gary Taubes, Dr Robert Lustig), and some old ones (Dr John Yudkin), as well as those baddies we all love to hate (Ancel Keys and George McGovern, amongst others).
The programme is hosted by Jacques Peretti: he has a blog here, and an article “What caused the obesity crisis in the West?” on the BBC News website.

One day, some time ago, I was sitting at home feeling miserable. Susan was up in London, seeing her Harley-Street clients.
I sent her a message, saying how bad I was feeling and she said, watch the Donna Eden videos. I didn’t know we had any!
She told me where to look. I dug them out and settled down to watch. It was another afternoon that changed my life!
Donna is an amazing woman, and an amazing teacher. We (Susan and I) will have much more to say about Donna, but, in the meantime, go get some Donna videos for yourself and see if you agree with me.
Nowadays, of course, we don’t have videos, but DVDs. Here’s Donna’s latest DVDs; they are inspirational.
